It was fun time and there was a lot of people there. As usual, I probably spent more than I made, but I got some cool things for my collection and some for resale. The neatest decal I picked up was Liquid Tide SCCA Trans Am tour decal from the 80’s, been looking for that for a while. The other odd decal I picked up was a Darrel Waltrip Honda Volvo car dealer decal. Can’t wait till next year!

Its great fun, they have other venders there with diecast model cars & kits, photos, magazines, cards – you name it. If its racing or motorsports related, its there. See past drivers and cars there as well.

I just finished “He Crashed Me So I Crashed Him Back” by Mark Bechtel. You gotta love that title! It comes from a comment from Donnie Allison after the famous crash 79 Daytona race. The book outlines how NASCAR came to big such a big deal and this book captures the reasons and the year it took off in popularity. I got my copy from the library, I’m sure Motorbooks or amazon should have. If nothing else the title will get the conversation going at the next BBQ!
